Art Stricklin is an award-winning golf and travel writer who has lived in Texas for 45 years and written about the game his loves for almost that long. After graduating Baylor University (long before anybody had heard of Jimmy Walker), he spent 22 years working for daily newspapers and magazines before returning to his hometown of Dallas in 1995 to write about golf full-time. He is the past president of the Texas Golf Writers Association and has played more than half of the state's 800 courses.
Fun Fact: He has had 1 hole in one, 1 wife, 700 courses played, and still 1 all-consuming passion for the game.
Handicap: 14.5 (Sadly).
Favorite Courses: Oakmont/Pacific Dunes (U.S. Division). Brora & European Club (International). Still got to find a way to first tee at Pine Valley!
