Ron Green Jr.
Bio:

When it became clear a career as an orthopedic surgeon wasn't going to happen due to academic realities, I followed my father into the newspaper business where I spent more than 30 years as a sports writer, most of them with the Charlotte Observer, before joining Global Golf Post. I've written extensively about everyone from Michael Jordan to Dale Earnhardt to Tiger Woods and golf has always been my favorite subject because of the people, the places and the passion.

Fun Fact: The first golf tournament I saw in person was the last PGA Tour event Sam Snead won -- the 1965 Greater Greensboro Open.

Handicap: 7

Favorite Courses: Favorite I've played: Augusta National. Course I most want to play: Shinnecock Hills.
