EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France | Caroline Hedwall, a member of the European Solheim Cup side which is this week taking aim on a third successive win, seems to know where the Europeans’ alleged “magic ingredient” has its origins. “It all starts on the team bus,” said the Swede. “There’s lots of singing, lots of laughter; we give each other energy.”
It was when Juli Inkster arrived for last week’s Evian Championship that the “magic ingredient” got its first mention. Someone wanted to know if the US captain thought there was one and, if so, could she explain it.
Inkster clearly believed there was such a thing.
