Jordan Spieth capped a spectacular season by winning the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club by four strokes ahead of Henrik Stenson, Danny Lee and Justin Rose. Spieth finished at 9-under-par 271.
Who didn’t win
Stenson started the final round within one stroke of Spieth and had a share of the lead after six holes Sunday, but three bogeys in a five-hole stretch starting at the eighth allowed Spieth to separate himself. Lee (closing 65) and Rose (66) played well
on Sunday, moving into the
tie for second.
How it happened
When Stenson shot 63 in the first round, it seemed as if he might put on a dominating performance like he did two years ago when he won the Tour Championship and the FedEx Cup.
