Ryan Kuehl had a mostly ordinary 12-year NFL career as a defensive lineman and long-snapping center. But after he retired in 2007, the proud possessor of a New York Giants Super Bowl ring, he soon became a business superstar working for the relatively new sports apparel and equipment company, Under Armour.
A native of Potomac, Md., and a 1994 graduate of the University of Virginia who played for four different NFL franchises, Kuehl was on an Under Armour marketing team that initially signed Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady, National League MVP Clayton Kershaw and NBA MVP Steph Curry.
He’s now a vice president of sports marketing and sponsorships; among his many responsibilities include Under Armour’s golf division. And it was Kuehl who was singularly responsible for signing Jordan Spieth.
