Is Brandt Snedeker the best American golfer at the moment?
Obviously, there’s a case to be made for Tiger Woods but Snedeker’s play stretching back to the latter part of last season has been eye-opening. All that’s missing this season is a victory and that may come this weekend in the Pebble Beach National Pro-Am.
In four starts this year, Snedeker has two seconds (to Woods and Phil Mickelson) and a third-place finish. He starts the Pebble Beach weekend tied for the lead.
Last year’s FedEx Cup champion, Snedeker has a putting stroke that seems to never fail, which is why he’s now No. 6 in the world. His disposition – the definition of sunny – is probably worth a shot or two each round.
This weekend may belong to Snedeker.
