Now comes this report from the UK that the European Tour is leaning toward siding with the USGA and the R&A on the proposed anchored putting ban.

All this despite the fact that the PGA Tour in the States and the PGA of America oppose the proposed ban.
If this plays out, you could, among other things, have Ryder Cup matches in Europe where anchored putting isn’t allowed and Ryder Cup matches in the U.S. where anchored putting is allowed.
Which, of course, would be sheer madness and pure chaos.
