Two items of importance for Monday morning:

First: The entire world of golf is praying and hoping for the health of newborn Isaiah Tesori as he struggles in the first days of his life. His father, Paul Tesori, is the regular caddie for Webb Simpson.

“In the mere 36 hours he has been with us,” Paul Tesori informed Golf Channel, “our perfect little boy, Isaiah, has not only touched our hearts, he has touched thousands of lives.”

Of lesser importance today is that Simpson enters the final round of the Hyundai event in Kapalua tied for the lead. His caddie this week is Ted Scott, on loan from Bubba Watson.

Second: The word out of Scotland is that the R&A has approved the use of range finders in all of its club competitions at the Old Course. The key word here is “club.”
