The college football coaching game of Musical Chairs is in full swing with Texas hiring Charlie Strong from Louisville, and Louisville hiring Bobby Petrino (again) from Western Kentucky.
On Wednesday, Penn State offered Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin the job at State College, one of the premier programs in the Big 10 two years removed from the Jerry Sandusky scandal. A decision from Franklin is expected by this afternoon.
But Vandy alums aren’t going down without a fight. After news of the offer broke, Brandt Snedeker tried to sweeten the pot to keep Franklin in Nashville, Tenn., tweeting an offer of golf lessons for life.

Given the millions made by head coaches these days, Franklin can pay for his own golf lessons. But the offer proves one thing: When it comes to college football, fans will do just about anything for their team.
