Global Golf Post Senior Writer John Steinbreder was one of only three honorees to win awards in three categories at the 21st annual ING Media Awards, handed out this week at the PGA Show in Orlando, Fla.
Steinbreder was named an Outstanding Achiever in profile writing for his piece on Webb Simpson’s coach Ted Kiegiel, his daughter Sarah and her fight with brain cancer.
He also earned Outstanding Achiever honors for his column on the Walker Cup’s return to the National Golf Links of America, and for his travel feature on golf in Australia.
The International Network of Golf (ING) honors the best in golf media each year. Steinbreder has been a frequent honoree, earning first place at last year’s awards in travel writing for his feature on golf in the Sand Hills of Nebraska
