Callaway X2 Hot Creates Distance

Callaway Golf enjoyed terrific success last season with its new X Hot fairways and hybrids. But not so much that it rested on its laurels.
Instead, the Carlsbad, Calif., clubmaker decided to make improvements to both offerings. Hence the 2014 rollout of the X2 Hot line.
With regards to the X2 Hot fairways, Callaway engineers added new Hyper Speed Face Cup technology, incorporating a thinner face that is designed to produce faster ball speeds, particularly on shots hit low on the face.
All of which translates into great distance. At the same time, they found a way to improve a weighting system known as the Internal Standing Wave to position center of gravity even more precisely – and effectively.
Options include 3-, 4-, 5-, 7-, 9- and 11-wood models as well as clubs with lofts of 13.5, 15, 17 and 19 degrees in the Pro version.
As for the X2 Hot hybrids, they also use the Hyper Speed Face Cup and Internal Standing Wave for the first time, moves that technicians say has resulted in a sweet spot 13 times largest than its predecessor.
