Adidas Debuts Gripmore Technology

The latest footwear offerings from adidas are notable for the so-called Gripmore technology they both employ, and officials at the golf footwear manufacturer
describe it as a “revolutionary” innovation that combines the performance benefits of spiked and spikeless shoes.
Unlike traditional spiked golf shoes that require receptacles to house cleats on the sole, Gripmore cleats are injected directly onto lightweight mesh matting inclusive of hundreds of so-called microspikes for better traction and stability. For example, the Adicross Gripmore utilizes 43 cleats on its sole and a total of 243 points of contact. That model also features what company technicians call “premium sport styling” with full-grain leather uppers, and they say it has been put in play on the PGA Tour this year by 2013 U.S. Open winner and TaylorMade-adidas Golf tour staff member Justin Rose, among others.
