Wilson FG Tour M3 Built For Feel

Michael Vrska, the global director of research and development for Wilson Staff, says that the FG Tour M3 irons, which are forged from 8620 carbon steel and feature a black matte PVD finish, are designed for low-handicap “feel” players who rely on impact feedback and value precision and shotmaking ability.
But he is quick to add that the irons, which were created with extensive input from Wilson Staff tour professionals, are forgiving enough to be playable for low-to mid-double-digit players.
Part of that versatility, he explains, comes from a progressive cavity design with optimized weight placement within each head.
The area near the topline is thin on all the irons, for a better look at address and also for a lower center of gravity that enhances launch and feel.
Moving toward the impact area, it is thinner in the long irons for increased ball speeds and distance and somewhat thicker in the short irons, for better precision and workability.
