Wondering if Tiger Woods still has it?
The television ratings for the Wyndham Championship suggest he does.
With Woods in contention for his first PGA Tour victory in more than two seasons and trying to win his way into the FedEx Cup playoffs, television ratings skyrocketed.
CBS had a final round rating of 3.9, the highest rating for a non-major in more than two years – when Woods won the 2013 Players Championship. It was a 160 percent increase on that tournament’s final-round rating in 2014.
Golf Channel announced its Friday ratings for the Wyndham Championship increased by 234 percent, while the Saturday rating on CBS was a 3.2, which matched the rating for the network’s Saturday coverage of the PGA Championship a week earlier and bettered the third-round ratings of both the U.S. Open and British Opens.
