David Feherty has found a new home with NBC Sports and Golf Channel.
Feherty, who had been a fixture on CBS Sports’ golf coverage, will join the NBC tournament coverage while continuing his popular work with Golf Channel and expanding his role across multiple platforms.
“I’m really looking forward to this next step in my career, but I’ll miss a lot of people who have had my back for nearly 20 years.” he said in a statement. “And to be honest, I’m on the verge of soiling myself. However, I am looking forward to new challenges and opportunities at NBC and Golf Channel.
“I haven’t yet heard the over-under on me getting fired, but hey, I beat the odds the last time.”
With NBC Sports, Feherty will continue as an on-course commentator and he also will do some tower work. NBC broadcasts the PGA Tour’s Florida events, the Players Championship and the final three events of FedEx Cup playoffs as well as the Ryder Cup, Presidents Cup and Olympics. Feherty will have a role in all those events.
Feherty will also continue to do his talk show Feherty, in addition to being a regular guest on Morning Drive and Golf Central.
There also will be a digital site for Feherty to produce short- and long-form content.
