In this week’s Official World Golf Ranking:

Jason Day (AUS)  holds the No. 1 ranking for the eighth consecutive week, strengthening his grip on the top spot with his Players Championship victory.

Including two short stints at No. 1 last autumn, Day now has topped the ranking for a total of 12 weeks. It is the 14th-highest total of weeks in the top spot since the OWGR began in 1986.

Colt Knost entered the Players Championship ranked No. 184, but a third-place tie boosted him 70 spots to No. 114. Knost has been trending in the right direction this season, making 15 of 16 cuts, although the Players was his first top-10 finish.

Jeunghun Wang has won European Tour events in consecutive weeks and seen his rank climb from 133rd to 70th during the fortnight.
