Ian Poulter will be missing the next four months with a foot injury, putting his Ryder Cup participation in major doubt.

Poulter has struggled with an arthritic joint in his right foot that has become too painful for walking and practicing. He has fallen to No. 85 in the world and missed his last two cuts on the PGA Tour. Although he hasn’t won since 2012, the Englishman is a Ryder Cup stalwart for the European side, going 12-4-2 in his career.
