“Arnie’s Rainbow” Forms Over Latrobe

Arnold Palmer’s private funeral was held Thursday in Latrobe, Pa., the town where the seven-time major champion spent most of his life. As an ode to his love of flying, the King’s ashes were taken over the local airport that bears his name, and what happened next felt like it was just meant to be.

Palmer’s ashes were spread next to Winnie, his first wife, near the 10th tee at Latrobe Country Club. There will be a public memorial service held Tuesday at St. Vincent College Basilica in Latrobe.
