Tis the season for baseball stadiums to turn into golf courses during the off season. And you can add another one to the list, but this time its not an MLB park but a minor league stadium in Buffalo, N.Y. – home of the Buffalo Bisons and farm team to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Coca-Cola Field held a nine-hole event called “The Links at Coca-Cola Field” in late September. The nine holes ranged from 19 feet (a putting challenge) to 133 yards. There were four green and five holes mowed into the outfield as players were only allowed to bring their own 8- or 9-irons for use on the par-27 course. Eight tee boxes were located around the ballpark, including the party deck (in the outfield), home plate (below) and the club level (200 level).
