We know world No. 1 Jason Day has a swing just about any of us would take in a heartbeat. What we didn’t know is that the same could be said when he swings from the opposite side.
The 29-year-old Australian took a left-handed swipe recently while practicing in the Coachella Valley, and former PGA Tour pro David Lutterus posted the video for all to see. Lutterus claims that Day smashed this one about 285 yards.
Try not to get distracted by Day’s chicken legs:
This isn’t the first time we have seen pros trying to hit shots from the opposite side. Remember when Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson and Dustin Johnson all switched around during the practice round prior to the Players Championship three years ago?
It looks like Day’s left-handed motion might beat out most of the other attempts we have seen. He could sell that swing to any number of weekend hackers for a nice chunk of change.
For those hoping to see more of the 2015 PGA Champion, you can watch him swing right-handed in competition at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am next week in Monterrey.
