J.T. Poston is a PGA Tour player and not a member of the valet staff at PGA National.
Apparently he needs to get more TV time to make sure everyone knows the difference.
Poston, a lanky 23-year-old rookie with a young face, was walking to his car outside the resort’s clubhouse on Wednesday when a man asked if he worked for the valet service. Before the Hickory, N.C., native could answer, he was handed a set of keys, which he immediately handed back.
Several players chimed in on Twitter, including former PGA Tour member Aron Price. He empathized with Poston by saying that Sean O’Hair once believed Price was a valet driver.
However, our favorite response came courtesy of Smylie Kaufman:
I hope you Gronk spiked his keys. https://t.co/ufuhA8fv8G

Poston, who attended Western Carolina University, already has made seven cuts in his first PGA Tour season and finished in a tie for 17th last week at the Genesis Open. He is ranked 113th in the FedEx Cup standings.
Here’s to J.T. getting into contention at the Honda Classic so all the fans can hand their keys to the appropriate staff members.
