PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Remember when Henrik Stenson stripped down to his skivvies to play a shot out of the water in 2009 at Doral?
Shawn Stefani did the same thing Friday at the Honda Classic.
Having started his day on No. 10, the 35-year-old Texan pulled his tee shot into the hazard to the left of the fairway on No. 6 and decided to shed his shoes, socks, pants and shirt. The result was priceless.
Stefani advanced the ball 44 yards down the fairway, hit his approach shot to 10 feet and then missed the putt, tapping in for a bogey. He then made bogey on the next hole and would go on to miss the cut by two strokes.
On the bright side, Stefani appears to be in tremendous shape.
