In this episode of the PostCast, Sean Fairholm and Cassie Stein discuss an exciting conclusion to the 81st edition of The Masters and whether Sergio Garcia now deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
PGA Tour insider Ron Green Jr. joins the co-hosts to give his take on what transpired at Augusta and Sergio’s place in the game.
“It feels like we’ve been watching him forever,” Green said. “For him to finally get that one… I mean good for him. And at a place like Augusta, too. If you stack his career up against Fred Couples, he’s probably won more than Freddie… who has had a better career between Jim Furyk and Sergio? I think it’s Sergio.”
Green Jr. also talks about Harbour Town’s recovery efforts after Hurricane Matthew and this week’s RBC Heritage. You can read his coverage of the event right here on globalgolfpost.com.
“The golf course took a really hard hit and had to do a lot of work to get it back in shape. If you see it now you would think it was no big deal, but if you went back and saw what it looked like with all the trees down… it’s a massive undertaking.”
