PHOTOS: Funk’s $6.1M Ponte Vedra Beach Mansion on the Market

Fred Funk's two-acre property is for sale at an asking price of $6.1 million.

Feeling good vibes after winning the 2005 Players Championship, Fred Funk put down roots near TPC Sawgrass.

He and his wife, Sharon, began construction that year on a 9,585-square-foot mansion less than 4 miles away in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.

Twelve years later, they are selling their dream house for $6.1 million. With their son Taylor playing for the Texas Longhorns and daughter Perri also preparing to head to college, the Funks are ready to downsize.

The mansion features seven bedrooms and six bathrooms, plus two half-bathrooms, and sits on two acres of waterfront property. Two guest villas have provided space for many overnight visitors through the years, while the spacious property has served as a host to many PGA Tour parties at the annual Players Championship.

The property includes a fitness center, game room, trophy room, home theater, wine cellar and, of course, a putting green.
