An unusual name graced the top of the leaderboard at the U.S. Women’s Open starting a few minutes before noon on Friday: JE6 Lee, a moniker that left more than a few people wondering if the USGA had inserted a typo into the system.
The explanation is simple: Jeongeun Lee is such a common name in Korea that there are six of them who have played or do play on the Korean LPGA Tour. So, they number them. This Jeongeun happens to be the most recent addition.
No word if R2D2 is caddying.
