With the BMW Championship on the horizon, Jordan Spieth took to Wrigley Field for a ceremonial first pitch in advance of the Chicago Cubs-New York Mets game Tuesday night.

Spieth, who throws left-handed despite playing golf right-handed, threw a pretty strong fastball to get the night started. Perhaps it was a little high to be considered in the strike zone, but it wasn’t too bad for a pro golfer.

The best part of the whole scene? After throwing the pitch, Spieth received a present from a young fan. His reaction was priceless.

Spieth grew up playing baseball and has thrown out ceremonial first pitches before, twice for the Texas Rangers and once for the Boston Red Sox. We must say, his effort before the Cubs game was considerably better than this pitch prior to a Red Sox game in 2015.

But in the end, this nice little sinking pitch he threw out before a Rangers game in 2015 earns the top prize.
