We’ve seen this too many times. A Canadian golf course was the victim of vandals out for a joyride on ATVs over the weekend.
The Bridges at Tillsonburg, located near London, Ont., just north of Lake Erie, suffered severe damage to greens and tees on holes 12 through 15, according to a local news report. The estimated cost of the damage is $40,000 CDN ($31,000 USD), the report said.
Police are investigating the crime, which they believe was perpetrated by individuals on two ATVs, last Sunday between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The Bridges at Tillsonburg is located in the golf course-rich area of southern Ontario, but as the cold weather sets in, the course will be closed for the winter this weekend.
Earlier this year, the Golf Club of Houston was targeted by vandals on an ATV for the second year in a row. Also this year, Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., was vandalized by political activists.
