Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo shot 5-over 77 in his first PGA Tour tournament at the Corales Puntacana Resort & Club Championship in the Dominican Republic.

Romo, now a CBS football analyst, started with back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 1 and 2, but made birdies on Nos. 4 and 5 to get back to even par. He added another birdie and bogey on Nos. 7 and 8 to finish at even-par 36 on the outgoing nine.

He was even par through 12 holes, but found trouble on Nos. 13-16. He went bogey-double bogey-bogey-bogey on those holes.

With the afternoon wave yet to finish, Romo was tied for 130th, only ahead of American Guy Boros (7-over 79).

His playing partners, Denny McCarthy and Dru Love, shot 6-under 66 and 1-over 73, respectively.
