Carolinas Golf Association

The CGA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit educational organization that was founded in 1909 to promote and to protect the game of golf in the Carolinas by providing competitions, education, support and benefits to golfers. The CGA is the second largest golf association in the country, with more than 700 member clubs represented by nearly 150,000 individuals. With its rich legacy, championship traditions and commitment to the future of the game, the CGA has been a steward of golf in the Carolinas for over one hundred years.

Florida State Golf Association

The Florida State Golf Association (FSGA) was formed in 1913 to promote, protect and preserve the game of golf. The FSGA includes over 800 member clubs and more than 210,000 individual members. In 2012, the FSGA and the Florida Women’s State Golf Association merged to form the largest state or regional association in the country. The FSGA conducts more than 470 tournament days each year, including 36 state championships and over 45 days of USGA qualifying events.

Future Champions Golf

The mission of Future Champions Golf is to build the most positive, productive, and complete junior golf program focusing on player development at all stages and providing the opportunities for every junior golfer to become successful in golf and in life.

Future Champions Golf World Series events are held throughout the USA including California, Nevada, Arizona, Washington, and Texas. Many players have gone on to the collegiate and professional levels. FCG now holds over 50 junior golf and collegiate golf tournaments.

The Georgia State Golf Association, founded in 1916, is a non-profit organization dedicated solely to serving the game of golf and its membership of nearly 350 Member Clubs and their 73,000 members. The mission of the Georgia State Golf Association is to promote and preserve the traditions and integrity of golf in Georgia and to enhance its enjoyment.

Golf Association of Michigan

The Golf Association of Michigan, founded in 1919, is the governing body for amateur golf in the state. As a not-for-profit organization, our purpose is to represent, promote, preserve, and serve the best interests of the game. The GAM provides membership to more than 60,000 golfers and more than 400 golf courses; conducts 19 amateur championships; and oversees 14 USGA qualifying events. The GAM also hosts several one-day golf events called GAM Golf Days that allow GAM members to play in a less-competitive setting than a traditional tournament.

Golf Association of Philadelphia

The Golf Association of Philadelphia was founded in 1897 by members of Aronimink Golf Club, Merion Cricket Club, Philadelphia Country Club and Philadelphia Cricket Club.

The Association’s 145 Member Clubs are spread across parts of four states – Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland. GAP encompasses an area that roughly runs from Lancaster to Scranton to Bethlehem to Princeton to Cape May to Wilmington to Rising Sun and back to Lancaster.

The purpose of the association is simple: to preserve, protect and promote the game of golf. Every GAP activity is designed to do just that.

A member-based organization, Golf Canada is the governing body of golf in Canada, representing more than 350,000 members at 1,600 clubs across the country. Recognized by Sport Canada as the National Sport Organization (NSO) for golf in this country, Golf Canada is responsible for promoting participation in and a passion for the game of golf in Canada.

International Association of Golf Administrators

Louisiana Golf Association

The Louisiana Golf Association exists to foster the enhancement and expansion of amateur golf through the development of member and information services, the promotion of opportunities for all who want to play, and the protection of the game’s integrity and valued traditions.

Maine State Golf Association

Maine State Golf Association

The purpose of the Maine State Golf Association is to represent, promote and serve the best interests of amateur golf in Maine, and to sponsor a scholarship fund. Annually, the MESGA conducts more than 120 days of tournament golf for players of many ability levels. It also offers USGA GHIN Handicapping services through its member clubs, as well as course ratings of member golf courses, and golf education. The MESGA serves as the State of Maine’s official representative of the United States Golf Association.

Massachusetts Golf Association

The MGA is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting and preserving amateur golf in the Commonwealth. Since its founding in 1903, the organization has enjoyed a growth from 42 to 360+ member clubs, two to 12 Championships and from 1,000 to more than 84,000 member golfers. As the seventh largest state golf association in the country, the MGA has been at the forefront of industry advances such as the creation of a computerized handicap system, online registration and real-time Championship scoring.

New Hampshire Golf Association

The New Hampshire Golf Association is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to fostering the ideals and traditions of the game of golf in New Hampshire.  The NHGA was established in 1905 to foster, promote, conserve and administer the game of golf in the State of New Hampshire, as embodied in its ancient and honorable tradition. This includes handicapping, scholarships, tournaments, promotion of Junior Golf, and promotion of the Rules of Golf and any other activity reasonably related to the foregoing. Currently the association is made up of 100 member clubs and more than 13,000 golfers.

Professional Golfers’ Association of America

The PGA of America is the world’s largest sports organization, comprised of 28,000 men and women golf Professionals who are the recognized experts in teaching and growing the game. Founded in 1916, the PGA of America has enhanced its leadership position by conducting premier spectator events – PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid and PGA Grand Slam of Golf – as well as significant philanthropic outreach initiatives, and award-winning golf promotions.

Southern California Golf Association

The Southern California Golf Association, one of the nation’s oldest and largest regional golf associations, has established itself as the trusted resource for Southland golfers, whether they are casual or devoted players.

In addition to providing a host of member services, including access and preferred pricing at some of the area’s top courses, the SCGA administers the USGA Handicap System and conducts major amateur golf tournaments in the region.

The Southern Nevada Golf Association (SNGA), formed in 1967, is a 501(c)(4) is a not-for-profit organization founded to represent, promote and serve the best interests of golf in the state of Nevada and it is the official representative of the United States Golf Association in Southern Nevada. It is governed by volunteer, amateur golfers who employ a full-time, professional staff of three people. Today, the SNGA includes more than 50 public and private clubs numbering approximately 10,000 members comprised of all demographics including Men, Women, Adults, Seniors, Juniors, Private and Public golfers throughout Southern Nevada.

Tennessee Golf Association

The purposes of the TGA are to promote the best interests and spirit of the game of golf throughout the State of Tennessee, as follows:

  • (a) To promote a voluntary association of golf clubs and golf associations, as defined herein, and individuals, without regard to gender, race, religion, or ethnic background, solely for the betterment of golf and to encourage cooperation and discourse among members of the TGA;
  • (b) To conduct golf competitions, primarily for amateurs, among golf clubs generally within the State of Tennessee;
  • (c) To advance uniform rules and standards consistent with those published by the USGA, especially those related to the Rules of Golf, a Uniform System of Handicapping, Amateur Status, and research associated with the USGA Green Section;
  • (d) To establish and maintain uniform handicap and course rating systems consistent with USGA recommended procedures;
  • (e) To promote junior golf programs, golf education and instruction, and other charitable activities, particularly in association with the Tennessee Golf Foundation, and such other programs determined appropriate by the Board of Directors

Texas Golf Association

The original charter, set forth in 1906, stated that the mission of the Texas Golf Association would be to “promote the playing and advancement of the Royal and Ancient Game of Golf in Texas.” Today the TGA is one of the largest and most respected golf associations in the country, with a ongoing commitment of ensuring that the top resources and most dependable staff are in place to meet current and future needs of its members, contestants, volunteers and all who strive to preserve the great traditions of the game.

Vermont Golf Association

The Vermont Golf Association was organized in 1902 with seven charter members:  Dorset Field Club, Ekwanok Country Club, Montpelier Country Club, Waubanakee Country Club of Burlington, Old Pine Country Club of St. Johnsbury, Mt. Anthony Country Club of Bennington, and the Rutland Country Club.  The Barre Golf Club became a member in 1903. Today, the Vermont Golf Association is the authoritative body for golf in the state of Vermont representing more than 8,600 amateur golfers and 62 golf clubs in the state.
