BigShots Golf broke major news on April 12, announcing that it will begin construction next month on its seventh nationwide location, at the Firestone Country Club in Ohio. Company officials see it as a “dreamy” arrangement for customers.
“You go to Firestone for a golf trip for three days, now you never leave the property,” said David Pillsbury, CEO of ClubCorp, the Texas-based hospitality business that is in the process of renaming and rebranding itself as Invited and is the majority owner of BigShots. “You play golf and you have dinner at the clubhouse, first night. Second night, you play golf and you have dinner at the Italian steakhouse (La Vetta) that we just opened. The third night, you play golf, then you go over and hit balls at BigShots and you have dinner there, and you never leave the property. That’s a dreamy three days.”
