It was a big deal when MagnaReady was named an official polo shirt for last week’s U.S. Adaptive Open on Pinehurst No. 6 in North Carolina, but the on-site experience for CEO and founder Maura Horton was beyond her expectations.
“Having the whole initiative is quite amazing. It’s an education experience, too, right?” Horton said. “Our clothing was well-received. People that need the product or that could stand to benefit from the product are finding it, but it’s part of an educational journey, because not a lot of people know about the category of adaptive golf, let alone the category of adaptive clothing.”
The marriage of the two – adaptive golf and adaptive clothing – just makes sense. “Golf is a universal sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities,” Horton said.
