Missed putts, swim time and perhaps earning some spending money by squeezing in a summer job. But Burke, a 13-year-old eighth-grader in Pasco County, Florida, who has played golf since she was 4, had a different one: What she was going to wear on the course and how it would look. “When I got older, I started actually caring about what I wore when I started playing in tournaments, and I realized I actually need something that's practical for the game of golf, that was created from breathable fabric and that had pockets,” she said. “As time went on, I kept thinking to myself, ‘OK, there’s plenty of people out there just like me who want the same thing and no one was creating and filling this void.’ … I kept thinking someone’s going to do it. But they never did. So I decided just to do it myself.”
