Global Golf Post announced its 12th annual All-Amateur teams this week in its November 18 issue.
“We take great pride and equal joy in supporting the global amateur game,” said Global Golf Post Publisher Jim Nugent. “Our All-Am selections, which began in 2013, are intended to recognize outstanding individual performance during the calendar year for male and female amateurs, mid-amateurs, and seniors.”
Leading the way for elite amateurs is England's Lottie Woad, a junior at Florida State University, who won the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and played for the victorious Great Britain & Ireland Curtis Cup team. Woad won the McCormack Medal, given to the woman who sits atop the World Amateur Golf Rankings at the end of the competitive summer.
Six American women were included in the First Team All-Amateur women’s selections, including 15-year-old Asterisk Talley, who played beyond her age all year long.
