Few golf shops in America have won more awards than Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop in Sacramento, California.
Named twice by Golf World/Golf Digest as the nation’s No. 1 public golf shop, it includes a 1,000-square-foot putting green with 700 putters to try; the largest on-course apparel department with in-store concept shops for Nike, adidas, Travis Mathew, Jamie Sadock, UnderArmour and FootJoy; and a by-appointment “Style Bar” where golfers can enjoy a glass of wine and try on outfits curated by a personal shopper.
Amidst all of this volume, the Haggin Oaks staff is highly specialized in finding the latest, greatest women’s apparel and accessories to keep shoppers coming back time and again.
For insight into some of the “fan favorites,” we checked with Heather Hadley, senior buyer for apparel and headwear, and Tammy Beckman, the accessory, gift and footwear buyer, who share their top five brands for the 2024 golf season:

Heather Hadley’s hot picks:
Travis Mathew: Launched into golf last spring, the Travis Mathew women’s line has caught on at Haggin Oaks. “We found out quickly it met the needs of the woman who is confident and active throughout her day,” said Hadley, adding that the Featherweight polos and Cloud half-zips and hoodies have been the most popular items.
Kinona: “We love Kinona at Haggin Oaks,” Hadley said of this woman-owned company known for Italian fabrics, a flattering fit and unique print designs. “A huge plus is that they carry consistent colors into different collections so it’s easy for our customer to add/build onto to her Kinona wardrobe,” she adds.
IBKUL: What makes IBKUL stand out at Haggin Oaks is the brand’s UPF 50+ technology, Icefil fabrication and easy-care properties. “Our teaching and sales staff are also outfitted with IBKUL and love to show off the styles and functions to our customers each week,” Hadley says.

Jamie Sadock: Haggin Oaks has the most loyal Jamie Sadock fans in the country, according to Hadley, who brings in a new collection each month and alerts shoppers to each fashion arrival. The brand’s Sunsense UV Protection products have been a big hit, and there’s even a frequent-buyer program (buy 10 pieces, get the 11th free). “Jamie Sadock is for our bold, creative and fun-spirited women,” she said.
Vuori: With athleisure on the rise throughout the golf world, Vuori has become a favorite among Haggin Oaks shoppers. They love the versatility of the brand’s performance joggers, as well as the brushed jersey fabrics that are comfortable and classic. “Whether our women are practicing on the range, running errands, or just relaxing at home, Vuori fits the bill,” Hadley said.

Tammy Beckman’s hot picks:
Birdie Girl: Created specifically for female golfers by a female golfer, Birdie Girl offers fun ball markers (including necklaces and magnetic hair ties), stylish magnetic towels, accessory bags and drinkware. According to the company website, the brand is “crafting on course accessories that blend sass, class and a dash of badass.”
Glove It: Founded in 2001, Glove It brings functional, yet fashionable golf accessories to the game, including golf bags, cart bags, stand bags, towels, visors, golf gloves, shoe bags, headcovers, and accessory bags. “We tend to buy a few collections a year to display and sell as matching sets,” Beckman said.
Birdie Bottle: The popularity of Birdie Juice has paved the way for Birdie Bottle’s 8- and 12-ounce flasks featuring a customizable leather exterior and four metal shot glasses stacked within the lid for conveniences on the golf course. “The convenience of the flask and shot glasses being all together make the Birdie Bottle our choice for shared spirits on the golf course,” Beckman said.
Best of Golf America: Haggin Oaks has done well with the company’s ball marker crocodile clips, which come in colorful prints, solids and sparkles. They can be attached to a hat or visor bill, and some Haggin Oaks customers are even using them on golf shoes. “This is another way for a woman to bring some personality to her golf game,” Beckman said. “They also make great gifts.”
HydroFlask: “We can all rally around the ‘change a habit, change the world’ philosophy by relying more on refillable and reusable tumblers, mugs, straws, etc.,” Beckman said, referring to HydroFlask’s #RefillForGood message encouraging golfers to switch from single-use plastics. The company’s new 32- and 40-ounce All Around Travel Tumblers are cup-holder compatible and dishwasher safe and add a colorful touch to the Haggin Oaks shop.
