There were more fans lining the ropes of the driving range at the inaugural Diamond Resorts Tournament of Champions in Orlando than at any non-major on the LPGA schedule, and more media in attendance. You would like to think that some at least of all these people were there for the past champions of the last two LPGA seasons, though, from the cheers and camera clicks, you had to suspect that the host of celebrities in the field probably had the edge in terms of appeal.
