Miller, USGA Meghan Stasi knows her USGA history and rightfully so, since her name has a place in its record books. The New Jersey native owns four U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur titles, played on the winning 2008 U.S. Curtis Cup team, and now is the captain of the 2024 U.S. Curtis Cup team that will face Great Britain and Ireland on August 30-September 1 at Sunningdale Golf Club in England. “With our eight players this year, there have only been 217 American women throughout 90-plus years [omitting the war years] who have played on a Curtis Cup team,” said Stasi, 46, of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. “To have been a part of the Curtis Cup is extremely special, and I hold it very dear to my heart to have been one of those players.”
As the U.S. captain, she also will follow her own captain, USGA stalwart Carol Semple Thompson, at the helm in this year’s 43rd Curtis Cup. Inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame...
