Cold-weather gear continues to rise as a category in golf, and one of the go-to brands for women is Callaway Apparel.
For the past several seasons, Callaway has been incorporating materials and technologies into its women’s outerwear products that provide warmth, comfort, and flexibility in colder temperatures, giving women a means of extending their golf season. Popular categories include light and midweight cozy layers, thermal and insulated jackets, and wind-resistant and waterproof gear.
“Offering cold-weather apparel ensures that female golfers can enjoy the sport throughout the year,” said Lupe Benitez, Callaway Apparel’s senior vice president for design. “Golf shops are taking advantage of the demand by expanding their inventory.”
According to Benitez, golfers are willing to invest in high-quality apparel allowing them to play comfortably in colder temperatures, just like they invest in the right equipment. Callaway has responded by introducing innovative details to the construction of the garments while using materials and technologies that are built for cold conditions, including the following 2024 styles:
Engineered Chevron Quilted Jacket, featuring Swing Tech technology, a silver two-way zip and zippered side pockets, adjustable cuffs and toggle hems.
Liberty Waterproof Jacket, a fully seam-sealed outer layer with an adjustable cuff, back waist cinching detail and a drop tail back hem for more coverage.
Women’s Mock Neck Golf Sweater, a thermal golf pullover from Callaway’s Weather Series, features a comfortable hint of stretch and contrast-colored stripes down the sleeves and slits at the cuffs for added athletic flair.
Women’s Solid Sun Protection 1/4 Zip Golf Pullover is made of a lightweight single knit fabric with added stretch and features moisture wicking to help keep you dry, as well as Swing Tech technology to help provide a full range of motion.
“Women are skilled dressers and understand the need to multi-layer to adapt to changing weather conditions,” Benitez said. “While style is still top of mind, it’s important to provide garments that offer warmth, flexibility, and protection without compromising our golf swing.”
