In the early 2000s, Lohla Sport founder Lisa O’Hurley had the opportunity to play a few rounds of golf with the late actor Sean Connery, best known for his iconic portrayal of the world’s most famous secret agent, James Bond.
Fast forward to 2023 and those rounds have become the inspiration for Lohla Sport’s “007” collection of premium women’s golf/lifestyle apparel that evokes the daring “Bond Girl” spirit in tops, bottoms, skorts, outerwear and accessories.
“Our 007 designs pack star power, yet are timeless,” said O’Hurley, a longtime Golf Channel and Golfino executive who launched the brand in 2021. “There’s a bit of devilish flirtation in every piece to reimagine you in true Bond Girl style on and off the golf course.”
Lohla Sport, which combines sophisticated European designs with a feminine Los Angeles flair, is sold online and in more than 250 golf shops and women’s boutiques. Signature pieces include the “Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant” (akin to a workout tight) and “The Very Pant,” a four-way stretch bottom. The latter is a nod to the TV show “Seinfield”, which features O’Hurley’s actor husband John O’Hurley as the recurring character J. Peterman.
Elements of the 007 capsule are named after famous Bond movies and inspired by the Bond Girl’s glamorous, action-packed lifestyle.
These include Skyfall, whose Flyboy (bright aqua) and Aurora (citron) colors transition the brand from spring to fall; Diamonds Are Forever, a play on popular neutrals in the Golf Fitness Pull-On Pant and new Bond Girl Jacket; For Your Eyes Only, a fusion of the color of the season, fuchsia, and Cocktail Orange against black and white backgrounds; and Casino Royale, featuring all-American red, white and navy coloring in two printed skorts.
And like all Lohla Sport collections, the garments are made with hi-tech fabrics that breathe, move with the golfer and enhance her performance, according to O’Hurley.
“When you look on-trend and feel comfortable,” she said, “confidence builds, performance heightens, and the best version of yourself shines through.”
