John Hopkins

John Hopkins is one of the world’s most experienced golf writers. He has written about that sport for a half century, for The Sunday Times, then The Times and now Global Golf Post. In 2008 he was named “Sports Internet Writer of the Year” by the [British] Sports Journalists’ Association. In 2013 he became only the second non-American and the first newspaperman to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism from the PGA of America. He has covered 150 major championships, including 39 Masters Tournaments, the same number of US Opens, more than 40 Open Championships and 21 Ryder Cups. He has written seven books on golf, the most recent being “Fore! The Best of John Hopkins on Golf.”
