John Hopkins

John Hopkins has written about golf for a half century, for The Sunday Times, then The Times and now Global Golf Post. In 2008 he was named “Sports Internet Writer of the Year” by the [British] Sports Journalists’ Association. In 2013 he became the second non-American and the first British newspaperman to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award in Journalism from the PGA of America. He has covered 160 major championships, including 42 Masters Tournaments, the same number of US Opens, nearly 50 Open Championships and 21 Ryder Cups. He has written seven books on golf, the most recent being “Fore! The Best of John Hopkins on Golf.”
